Rick’s Café Americain

Spring is coming to Rick’s...

I want to believe this, even though this winter was not as memorable as last years, I am really ready for the Spring.  Gardening, outdoor cooking, baseball games, and of course our little protected patio dining area at Rick's.

To complement our patio I have been talking with April Murray, long time friend and artist in Kansas city about doing three Casa Blanca pieces for the east wall of the patio.  Also, trying to figure out how to install some mister fans for the warmer months.

Mark Bruner, who has been playing indoors on "Blues and Fried Chicken Mondays" will probably start visiting the patio as well.

I am including our first menu change for Spring/Summer, as well as, a new wine list.  Here have made several changes, and am interested in your opinions and tastes on these.

Spring lunch menu will be out soon, but wanted to wait till included our new Signature Salad menu as well. These will feature some Southwestern, Italian, and Greek flavors to combat the heat of this Summer.

My son Mason will be coming back from OU for the Summer, and will be contributing his particular culinary flair, while cooking with me at nite, plus  jamming on his guitar with Mark on Monday evenings.

Give me a call when planning any parties this Spring and Summer, I enjoy messing up other peoples kitchen too.

Cheers!

Rick
